If you choose to make your podcasts private, only the people you invite can listen to your podcast. Your podcast will then not be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other platforms. This can be handy for clubs, government organisations and companies, but also for paid podcasts. More info
You add users to your private podcast as follows:
- Go to https://www.podcastfeed.app/podcast
- Click the podcast you want to add users to
- Go to the "Distributing" tab
- Add the email addresses you want.
Please note:
Every user you add will receive an email within a few minutes with a link containing a "secret url". Users can listen to the podcast through that URL.
RSS feed of a private podcast
Invited users can add a unique RSS feed through the URL. The link to it is on the page mentioned in the email
What if a user is removed from the list again?
If you remove a user from the list, they can no longer listen to the podcast. So you can withdraw access to a private podcast whenever you want.
